Dr. Dash holds a B.Pharm. degree from Sambalpur University, Orissa in 1991, an M.Pharm. in Biopharmaceutics from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of North Bengal, W.B. in 2007. Additionally, he completed a Doctorate in Science (D.Sc.) from Berhampur University, Odisha in 2015.
With over 32 years of academic and research experience in various Pharmacy Institutions, Dr. Dash has served as Principal at Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tripura (2017-2023) and as Principal cum Professor at Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Guwahati, Assam (2007-2017). He has also held positions as a Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER-G), Assam, and as Assistant Professor & Head of Department, Pharmaceutics, at the Himalayan Pharmacy Institute, Sikkim. He began his career in pharmacy teaching in 1992, holding roles such as Lecturer at institutions including Orissa College Of Pharmacy, Bhadrak, Odisha, Gayatri College of Pharmacy, Sambalpur, Odisha, and Himalayan Pharmacy Institute, Majhitar, Sikkim.
Dr. Dash has successfully guided over 65 M.Pharm students and 11 Ph.D. students in Pharmaceutical Science, with 2 candidates currently under his supervision. He has authored 62 research publications (45 international and 17 national), 18 review articles, 2 books, and 2 book chapters, and holds 1 patent. His research has garnered over 4902 Google citations. Dr. Dash has completed 5 research projects funded by organizations such as AICTE-RPS, UGC, ICMR, and DST, receiving grants totaling over INR 1.5 crore approximately. His research interests include Pharmacokinetic studies, Mucoadhesive Drug Delivery System, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, and Clinical Pharmacy.
Dr. Dash is a life member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association with membership in the education division centrally, as well as a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and the Indian Hospital Pharmacist Association (IHPA). He serves as an expert committee member of AICTE and PCI and is a member of the Board of Studies of Mizoram University (Central University) from 2015 to 2019 and Assam University (Central University) since 2020.
He has been honored with the Best Teacher Award from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER-G), Assam, and the Best Research Contribution award by Guwahati Medical College.
